Glass: A Journal of Poetry seeks poetry submissions for a special feature in response to the June 12 shooting at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida.

Because the shooting at Pulse targeted the LGBTQ community on Latin Night, we are only seeing submissions from LGBTQ poets and especially LGBTQ poets of color (cis-gendered straight poets with poems in response to the shooting are welcome to submit those poems for the regular journal when it reopens for submissions on July 16).

Glass never charges reading fees, including for this special feature. Simultaneous submissions are always encouraged. If any of your poems are accepted by another publication, please add a note to your submission in Submittable n

Submissions will close for this special feature on July 15, 2016. The special feature is tentatively scheduled for publication in August, 2016.

All poems must come through our Submittable portal.

Please submit up to five poems, any length, in one document. Please include a cover letter and a brief bio in the space provided by Submittable.

Glass requests First North American serial rights as well as the right to archive your work on our website and to use your work, with credit given to you as the author, for promotional purposes. Otherwise, upon publication, all rights revert back to the author under the condition that you will credit Glass: A Journal of Poetry as the original publisher should your work be reprinted.

Note: if you have recently submitted to Glass: A Journal of Poetry (whether your submission was accepted or declined) or if you currently have a submission under consideration, you may still submit to this special feature.
